benny latimore "i'm a believer / have a little faith" dade

the dancefloor side "i'm a believer" is ex conditin and plays perfect right through.

sadly the ballad flips skips 3 times once in the middle and twice near the end. Aside from the skips the is no background noise or crackle it plays clean. The skips don't cut out huge chunks of groove perhaps a couple of words in one case and a slight piece of the music in the other 2 cases near the end.

asking 300GBP for this record which rarely appears for sale. Could be the rarest record he made and its certainly a brilliant soul record.

by PM please if interested

last one on here, dont know if it sold, you

may ask dylan.

ricky.

It doesn't have the Texan style rhythm section that's required for high prices these days. I remember the marketing, honest though it was, the skipping comment killed it for me.

hmm okay a difficult one to price thinking of listing this later if anyone was interested, the 300 pound skipper was the only one i could find as a price reference, the one i have dont skip, it gliiiiides ;-0

would my offer be OK if you don;t get any other interest or will you be keeping it :wicked:

If someone has a record that skips I can fix it for them for a fee. It would not involve any sort of stupid thing like pushing the tonearm down when it played or anything like that -- it would involve me looking at the grooves with a microscope and directly fixing the skipping part.

the closest I got to tryign this type of thing was buying a magnifying glass on ebay.

I quickly decided that was no where near good enough and as you say it would need to be a microscope so never even tried.

you need at least 60x to actually see what's happening in the grooves, although you can see the lines at 30x
