I don't often sell/trade records, but a few spring to mind, magnetics-I have a girl( traded with, gary rushbrooke and co, first played copy, wigan casino), ace spectrum-don't send nobody else, £5, tony's empress,(guy hennigan, period), and at wigan, bobby 'guitar'woods, after being pressed, £5.

i think ,among others channel 3 ,£10, rhonda davis £10, little melvin bolereos ,£20, amongst many others

I remember selling dave evvison a u.s copy of the formations at the top of the stairs for 2 quid in the record bar at wigan, he went on to make it a huge oldie, sold a lou johnson , big top copy of unsatisfied while in the queue outside for the same price.....not huge tunes but that was the going rate at the time.

Back in the day, once a record got pressed (bootlegged) the value of the original dropped like a stone so some real rare records were changing hands for what seems like peanuts today, but in reality were still quite expensive. £20 Might not sound a lot but in 1974 it was a weeks wages.

So if you had the cash things like Salvadors and The Tomangoes were £20 to £30 ( I think!) which was still a lot

In 1972 got £7 for Stick by me baby of Robert Brady from Wales (so I was reminded a bit ago)

I bought gary r's c/u which turned out to be 4 voices on Voice for 30 quid and turned down the de-lites from Sam for 30 quid Bought George Hobson, Ronnie McNeir ,and Gene Toones all 15 quid at Wigan,

thats great, i paid a lot of money for gene toones and the de lites....didn,t have enough in my pocket one night at bolton all niter when butch had a 4 voices in his box, as i had just got jesse james..are you gonna leave me off him.

yep saw many originals in 74/75 after/just before, they were booted..bought Billy prophet £6..Connie Clarke £5..Jackie Edwards (feel) £5..Don Thomas £2..Dena barnes £6 (from Searling)..Brice Coefield (not booted) £2..Landapples £8..and loads more...
