Can anyone tell me if both of these designs were used on the original press ?

I would say yes. Only the design with the pic of the two guitars was used on the boot. Wonder if any demos were issued with the two guitars pic label?

Yes. They came from different pressing plants. The one on the left is on styrene and the one on the right is on vinyl.

There are however bootlegs that utilises the design with the "guitar" illustration.

The matrix stamp should be an RCA thing staked as against a hand job.
