From memory the 12" is a longer cut than the 7"

Not sure John, but I played it as my first record at the Norfolk village revival a few weeks back.

The 12 is a bit longer in terms of running but thankfully the fantastic ending is fully intact on both versions: the 12 just has a few extra bars of backing as opposed to singing.

every REAL soul home should have one

It was a fantastic evening Daz, the funny thing was that Graham(who runs the t shirt stall) said the Margie Alexander was his favourite record and that the night could only go downhill from here

Flipside is a dancer isn't it ? (Can't be arsed to find my 45 right now) Which would explain that.

Pretty sure you are right Paul

It's an okay funky type dancer similar to a lot of run of the mill tunes of the time, but nothing compared to the flip. That side hasnt spent much time "needle side up" in my house.
