Hi everybody,

again a question from me how to identify a reissue and the repress.

I pulled out my Mighty Chevelles Lp and I'm not sure is it the original or the repress?

The cover looks old fashion made but it's pretty clean. The deadwax number is AR-9917.

I know there are reissues with FA-018 but I think there are also repressings with AR-9917.

What is the best way to find out if it's the first/original press?

Both the original and repress are virtually identical , the later reissues are all pressed on 180 gramms vinyl, check the weight

..mine has 124 g but still a little bit sceptical...or should I accept it as the original Lp

Original got Chevelle in run out bout 6 o`clock on A-side. 11 oclock on b-side.

Would have thought re issue has white/lighter cardboard inside lp cover and original is heavier/ brown (mine is).

Great lp Tim,i would give this a 10 dogs bollocks marks.

Pretty sure the re-issue is heavy card and brown on the inside, mine was (sold it) i was told the the sleeves were original and the vinyl was repressed for the re-issues

Bob what`s the run out on your copy?Hopefully this will help collectors in the future.

Didn`t know that Adrian , when i was looking for my copy,Snow boy had a real one which i got outbid on.Luckily he told me how to spot the differance in the run out.
