Many thanks Chalky, great job once again.

A.J.Sparks followed by Sounds OF Imani both testment to the great new soul recordings that are in 2013 still being produced in the Motorcity. There's pleny more stuff to come from the former Fee records dynasty over the next few months and beyond.

Dave

Hi Andy

As you rightly say this release has caused quite a stir amongst real soul fans. Contempary gospel soul records are becoming a very popular phenomenon presently.

Many thanks for the label scans too

Love the Must be An Angel side although both top notch.

Hi Chalky great call on this goodie - will make for essential listening on Solar radio this coming sunday when:-

Soul Discovery Radio Presenter Mick O’Donnell presents a two hour show which features interviews with David Washington formerly of Chapter 8, Sounds Of Imani, AJ Sparks and James Mitchell of the legendary Detroit Emeralds plus recordings associated with each of the artists featured. Definitely not one to be missed.

Question ?

Would anyone of bought the next 2 Soul Junction 45's schedule release's, should they have been outputted during the eighties.

They are weak, fragile, lyrically insipid fodder.

Will people buy these because of the folk's who are behind Soul Junction or fall foul of it's marketing and the supply to "pat on the back"radio shows DJ's.

Appreciation or label sycophants.

Hi Nick

It would appear that we (Soul Junction) have somehow ruined your Sunday Evening. Your comments on our marketing and promotional methods somehow imply that we some kind of poor man's mafia. All of the deejay's and presenters who play and support our products do so under there own steam we just send them the goods then it's up to them if they spin them or not with no retribution.

We at Soul Junction spend a lot of time and effort not to mention money supporting our artists(who in a lot of cases are our friends and hero's) and will continue to do our very best for them. Of course you are entitled to express your own opinion but before doing so spare a thought for the artists many of whom ( not just from Soul Junction but many other labels) read the comments on this forum.

If you have an issues that you would like to discuss with me please either send me a PM, email or give me a call my details are on the website.
