Sad news coming through of the death of George Perkins. More well known for the classic "Crying In The Streets" he put out some great soul music either as solo or coupled with Frank Turner.

oh dear one great soul man after another with george jacksonthis week as well, my brother is in touch with his son and i actually finished my set at the red bar wakefield with "i'm so glad you're mine"one of our favourite ever tunes, his last contact a couple of weeks ago was to goerges son to tell his father how well his music is loved over here(,think his son is named after him george jnr) anyway glad to say he had passed the message onto george who was really pleased to hear that he was very much appreciated over here, "....ah could cr........y".....
