Not only great set but played by a really nice guy! It was my first night out on the scene for few years and could not have been a better way to do it.

 

Well done Dave and Lenny and John  ,although, the legs were a wee bitty sore for a few days afterwards..

 

As for the web, Kenny Burrell and I started the venue back in the 90's and as other venues have come and gone and the Web is still there and always will be. I just need to start planning my return home visits better...   Thanks also to George, the main man behind the wheel..

Very impressive set. I was lucky enough to be able to visit the Spiders Web last January while traveling in the UK and was absolutely floored by the night. On top of all the biggies I heard played I track that stood out for me was the nights closing track: Lou Rawls "Time will Take Care of Everything" Philadelphia International Records. Cracking track. Cheers from California.

Hopefully I can make it back soon rather than later. I moved from San Diego to San Francisco this last year and unfortunately that meant no holiday travel for me. I am going to try to make it back to the UK this year and will be sure to make it back to The Spiders Web when I do!
