I've been told that the case against the guy for producing and selling counterfeit tickets was not proven in court,so the guy was given all his money back that had been taken of him.He was also not guilty for the charges of drugs,the tablet's found on him were infact prescribed by his own doctor for depression and sleeping problems.The police had 4/5 different types of counterfit ticket's at the court from the Whitby event.

I asked the Whitby Tourism office if I could get a Free ticket for next year, they told me my name/address would be passed on to the promoter. I did not expect anything, as I got to the building at 10 past 12 and got in at half past on the Sat night.

This morning I got a Free Complimentary pass which looks pretty tough to copy, it mentions ID and all sorts of stuff.

I booked digs 4 next year and the Tourist lot told me the promoters are being honourable to the ones who were stuck outside for more than half an hour and folks who left early.In fact they have another do on later next year too.

I am not interested in politics as the event is really great. If I was ripped off I would shout about it.

Why not write or email the promoters and stake your claim.It worked for me!

What a fiasco....Seems like Krl are in the Tourisum Buisness now,and to think Whitby Council will aid krl in their our of need! Just ring the tourism Office and give them your name etc and tell them too pass this info on to Krl...They told me after my request that Whitby Tourism Office is not there to promote any organisation other than tourists and Holidays!!There office are to busy than try to answer questions related to ticket Loss etc,They Advised you contact the Promoter with your Questions etc.

I know several who gave names and addresses. My tickets came from Goldsoul. Im Jeff from P'boro. Sister Dawn knows me.

If others get theirs in the next few days, then you will realise I am honest.

I am now not getting involved with these type of threads..way to nutty for me.

Dose this mean that because they can only get limited numbers in 2007 the price goes up to £30

2006 £25 x 1500 = £37500???

you know guys, (and girls... sister dawn) i think we've been going on sooo long about whitby it seems that some of us really give a toss about the place and how it was perceived to have been mis-promoted. i for one am drawing a line under it, it just don't deserve my attention anymore, there are more important things in my life than a kev roberts promotion like what colour toilet roll shall we get from tescos tomorrow or will my next fart be a safe one or a tricky little damp one i have to clinch before it spreads all over the house! a bit anal i know but hey, i blame my mum, stapled me to the fookin' potty she did, mad bugger!!!

Sorry. Just had to add a post. We haven't been involved with this, but after reading the threads (took me 4 hours today, (no housework done!!!!! ) I am relatively new to the scene, and it's a shame that money has been put first and not the music. We run a small soul club in SE London every other month. No we don't make a profit. If a person came up to us regarding any aspect of the club (albeit music, dancefloor, crowd etc) I would hope that we could address the matter in a professional way. YOU'RE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST EVENT (or words to that effect)

Just a note to let everyone know that we got a registered envelope from Goldsoul and in it was two vouchers for next years Whitby value £30 each !

The vouchers state that you have to collect your tickets at the venue and to bring with you proof of address and photo id.

We obviously got the vouchers because when KR would'nt come to the door to explain what was happening, eventually Snowy came to try and calm things down, at that time loads of us put our names and addresses on the back of flyers as Snowy said he would try to sort us a refund out.

Inside the registered envelope were two vouchers and three flyers !

The most important thing that should have been in the envelope was'nt !
