The Volumes - Gotta Give Her Love - Astra label, yellow vinyl...saw this the other night and thought it looked interesting, but anyone know what it is, why it's not on American Arts etc?

Cheers Benji...wasted me money then! :wicked:

2nd time I've seen one, gotta be rare compared to American Arts, seen hundreds of those so not really a waste Pete

Hi Pete,

From what I can glean (as I've had one of these in the past), the Astra issue comes from 1965 (a year later than the Am. Arts release).

Believed to have also been pressed on red vinyl, like other Astra issues of the time.

...I've seen it come up on eBay twice on Astra, and both times it's gone for considerably more money than an AA one would. I think that it's a favourite of the doo-wop collectors who have started to move into sweet soul group collecting...

Good point Tony. I was happy to pay $50 for mine a few years ago, and sold it for about £30 to a collector in the UK.
