Where did this record first get played ?

 

just come across it on ebay and it sounds great but i cant remember hearing it get played out late 90s onwards.  Certainly not enough to stick in my memory which it would've done....

i know it was played at the music hall all-nighters 80s ( aberdeen)

It was certainly known in the early/mid seventies and got a few plays, Mecca I would suggest. It was never really massive, but it was up against so many other much more obvious dancers at the time. There were loads more like that, Court Davis suffered the same fate at the time.

There are also copies that are credited as just KW not the full name.

Most people I knew at the time, got to  know it off the UK Epic L.P that came out 1976.  "The Best Of Okeh" Vol 2.

I have the classic violet Okeh one. Not the white promo.
