I have 'along came you' on Uni Records by Karl Tarleton

the old forgotton dancer that was spun at the casino. A great choon in my opinion but I am also a great admirer of the work Karl has been involved in or rather I would like to get to know a lot more about the music he has been involved in as he wrote a lot as wel.

Appreciate any feedback plus if possible any scans of 45s etc

I had the pleasure of seeing jackie 'live' in the mid 1970's at the casino all-nighter.Dont remember much though although I still have a tape with half of the actual night on iit.

A mate of mine went to see him in the 60's at a venue but it wasnt a soul crowd as a whole in the club and that night a big fight kicked off with my mate getting slashed across his face with a knife.

He didnt know at the time but told me there was blood all over him anyway after seeing off the piss heads that started it all my mate was taken back stage and jackie took him into his room and couldnt help him enough.

My mate still carries that scar today but also a nice signed pic.....LOL

Does anyone know how many actual 45s Karl did himself as a singer?

additions.......Karl recorded as Reggie Lamont on Blue Rock..."How lonely can one man be"/"darling ill get along somehow".....also wrote Jimmy Holland "baby dont leave me" on Blue Rock......also wrote both sides of the Shirley Wahls King 45....."why am i crying"/"thats how long"......he died in the 70ts.....

not forgetting the super Chicago double sider.on Mamies....what a talented guy Karl was.....

dunno the date on the Mamies 45.....although it has a pressing plant number stamped in ZTSC 127340/1....nor the circumstances surrounding his death....maybe Don Montgomerie knows......
