ONLY WORTH A FIVER IMO.....HAVE YOU GOT ONE TO SELL Bit of a silly comparison imo, Jackie Wilson on a Brunswick issue is not rare in the slightest, i don't remember reading anything about a red demo! Simon
December 1, 200618 yr Bit of a silly comparison imo, Jackie Wilson on a Brunswick issue is not rare in the slightest, i don't remember reading anything about a red demo! Simon I think John Manship auctioned one a couple of years back for over £100 mate.

Simon My point is if you want it bad enough you will pay for it wont you? (Work all week for my money and all that) seen this... (this being Jackie Wilson I.O.H.W.I.L.A.Y.) on a red demo go for £125 (price comparison) On the rarity of records, isnt it the case of the big sounds of now you couldnt give away a few years ago, then some dj starts to spin it away we go... it becomes a need to have tune?
December 1, 200618 yr I think John Manship auctioned one a couple of years back for over £100 mate. Fair dos Pete but that's still outrageous imo, i've seen numerous copies of this over the years for £10 & under, i really don't believe it's rare in the slightest. I'd put my money where my mouth is & sell my copy for £15 but that'd be stupid on my part if i can get that sort of money for it. I can feel a phonecall & possible auction coming on for John if he fancies getting me over a ton for my copy. Simon

I agree with you fully on this but still think it's crazy, there's too many people buying records nowadays who don't truly know what they're worth & are purely going on the trust of the seller who lets face it in the main are just concerned with making as big a profit as possible. All IMHO of course. Simon

Going by the prices that most sellers ask on this site, that's true.

Simon only going from manshipps uk guide book mate in at £100 .and last one for £125 last one on e-bay went for £115 so did not think £80 was to high .but the real point is if you arnt after it why the f//k are you makeing such a fuss over it 210 have looked only you have had a gripe do your self a favouer do a bit more over time and get a guide book you mite find yours are worth more than you think £30 or£40 for the lot Edited December 1, 200618 yr by ashleydean1

I obviously haven't got the knowledge John has got but i have seen this record numerous times in the last few years for £15 & under. I'll keep quiet now & let everyone get on with buying their over-inflated records! Simon
December 1, 200618 yr I'll keep quiet now & let everyone get on with buying their over-inflated records! Simon To be honest I quite like to see comments about record prices as quite often I feel the same as you Simon. As they say round here: "How much!?!" I think the perceived ettiquette of not commenting on prices in the Sales section is a bit out dated to be honest, as if you saw an over priced record in a sales box you would probably comment on it to any number of people including the seller. No need to keep quiet Simon IMO

No need to keep quiet Simon IMO I absolutely agree, there's a record on here now listed at - wait for it - £175 more expensive than one of the same that I sold about 2 months ago - but it will cause no end of arguments if commenting begins. I'm all for it and to be honest I'd like people to tell me if I've overpriced something because my aim is to sell as many things as possible!
