Can anybody settle an argument. Some people say this scan below is a repro and some say it is a original. In the matrix scratched in is CH673-2 X-1596.

Many Thanks

I think that's a boot...not sure but should have producer and arranger details on the label.

You might be okay- every original I saw on popsike did not have producer and arranger credits on the label. The Canadian reissue on the orange label didĀ  have the extra credits though.

There is a boot on a look a like label too.

Scan of flip which has the credits, same for the side in question too

Give you a bit of history about how I came about this. It as part of a 10 records for £1 soul pack from Contempo about 72/3/ish. I don't know when it started to get played so the timescale might help.

The colouring on yours looks wrong, but THAT could be due to the scanner.Ā  Hard to tell by your print, as the scan photo is too blurry.Ā  What's engraved, etched, or stamped in the runout will let you know if yours is the lookalike boot, or the original.

Scratched in CH672-2Ā  Ā  X-1596. It is a bad scan. It was done on my old phone a couple of years ago. The colouring is more like the others on this post

Should be original, based on the raised "X".Ā  Scanner must have made the colour wrong.

Real one with that matrix. Two presses, one with credits one without by the looks of it.Ā

That's a bit of good news. Not bad for a 10p purchase. Thanks everyone for your input.

Second pic down real. The drums are higher all the repros I've seen you can only see the tops of the drums.
