I recently sent a £200 pound record to Oz registered , recorded and insured for £9.80 approx

unregistered it’s cost £5 approx.

Only Signed for with UK Royal Mail @ £10.90

I wouldn't use standard airmail as it only covers £20

If you have to do a customs declaration remember that the import duty charged to the recipient will be 5% of the declared value

That's true, but if anything goes wrong you can't claim the full amount, that's what customs is for (it's called avoiding tax )
