Might be a bit of a daft question, but presumably it's still OK to carry a box of records on a plane, within weight and size allowances of course?

Has anyone done that in the last 6 months? Any problems?

You should be OK : whoever you are flying with will check the box going out to ensure that you are not concealing anything between the record sleeves . I travelled with Ryanair to Pisa in October , and they were very good ; did the search as stated , and thanked me for my time .

The airline you are going with should have a guide for the size of hand luggage on their web site ; check that for details .

Steve, I went to Milan to DJ back end of last year certainly within the last six months with Ryanair from Liverpool, the carry on restrictions had just been lifted so i was a little nervous but carried a 100 count box on no problem, had to go through x-ray and all that, asked me what was in the box etc. but apart from that no problems, i think anything bigger you may have to check them into the hold but otherwise again no problems.

Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Its got to be safer and lighter to do a CD burn , (as Dave Thorley said on here about acetates) .. these days plus I know they dont mind laptops !! ..

Your records must be worth a few pence now Steve ?
