My friend Paul is a retired church Pastor, I call him Preacher Man. I nicknamed him that a while ago as I think it's a pretty cool tag. Anyway, rather randomly, Preacher Man, knowing I was interested in soul music, although I can't get him past the term "Northern Soul", spotted this in a Christian free paper which is distributed free in his church (and thousands of others). It's a very small piece about Eddie Holman. The photo bit is on the front cover, and the tiny other bit just inside the cover. I thought it was interesting enough to post here. Excuse the poor attempt at copy/cut/paste - you know what I'm like; someone may want to tidy my job up. 🫣

Yes, Eddie returned to his Gospel root some years back, but his voice is still ass good as back in the day.

I don't know the answer to that; there are others far better informed than I am. The small article I posted was fairly recent, so assuming that was an accurate piece, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, it may be the case.
