Hoping to get to germany, france, sweden... well everywhere, so listings for any nights anywhere will do.

I'm doing a regular night in Bamberg Germany called the "SoulShakers", next one is this saturday.

But there are many other regular events in Germany, for example in N¼rnberg, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin, M¼nchen, Bremen... The best soul event site is www.soulallnighter.com , give it a try when you know your dates.

You're confusing with something else I'm afraid, Christian H used to run a fantastic club in Gothenburg but they've just lost the venue. www.northernsoul.nu is a good place to look at Nordic soul events (pun intended).

There are a few things going on in Finland as well but can't say anything about the summer yet.

The Stockholm mini-weekender, Wiman Casino, is highly recommended, it's in late May. Check out the web page.

I don't think there is anything 'mega' about the soul scene in Sweden to be honest. At times certain nights at certain events have been mega good, but most other things are micro rather than mega. It is true what Heikki says, I along with two friends used to run a club in Gothenburg (not Stockholm) that at least during the best nights was damn good if I may say so myself. We lost the venue for the autumn of 2004, BUT, we got it back again this spring. We will run our club the second Saturday of the month in February, March, April and May. There is also an allnighter planned for the first Saturday of May in Malm¶ that should be good. Bad news is that I dont think there is much on anywhere (that is worth visiting) during the period from early June till early/mid July. I have been thinking of maybe doing something this summer since the summers are always dead over here, so all is not lost yet. We have a web site, a bit basic, but still. https://realside.sdf-eu.org

Too early to give you the exact dates, but surely something is going on in Italy in that period... probably something in Pisa and in Genoa in June and for sure a huge weekender Rimini in July.

usually first week of august theres an Allnighter in Gothenburg, Sweden that I put on (Soulastatic) at Nefertiti Jazz club, heard from 1 or 2 people around (you never know in these days of politics etc.) that they been enjoying themselves, so I will keep on doing the Allnighters once a year.

Bunch of swedish DJs and also had some UK faces like: Ginger Taylor, Kenny Burrell, Terry Davies, Nige Brown etc. Northern floor and outside Modern floor.

Soulastatic is on at Pusterviksbaren every last saturday regulary 22.00-03.00, 25-26 feb is the 7th year anniversary weekend with swedes and uks on the decks. www.soulastatic.just.nu cheers!

Is it true that the price of a pint over there is the equivilent to a weeks worth of shopping over here!!!!

Are there many niters or is it mainly nights.

No, it is NOT true. Sweden has not been expensive since the late 80's or so, nowadays most things cost the same and often less than in the UK. Like Christian (cesar) says, mainly nights, only a few nighters a year, at best. Christian, will you run Soulastatic this summer then? In June and July?

Hopefully I will throw another Allnighter this year again in early august. Hope to see you there again Christian!

If anything,would be good to meet soulies passing through.
