Aye up merry new year happy folks! Came across a feature on Anthony Bordain's parts unknown TV show, about deep city, an interview with Willie Clarke and Helen smith, I think singing, it's about 15 years old. Series 5 episode 4, i think 🤔. I also came across the inview with Willie from us TV. I apologise for the quality of the clips. Bordain's show is regularly repeated on eden channel, he's amazing!

It’s playing ok here.  Love that Florida soul sound.

Don’t give up on it. Geeselad. You will  love it as much as I do. Northern Soul, Deep soul, Beat Ballads. The Rocketeers,  Paul Kelly, Little Beaver, The Moovers. Collectors such as Jeff Lemlich and Ken Shipley.

Not to mention Henry Stone.

I met Helene Smith & Willie Clarke (+ Jackie Moore & Timmy Thomas) in Miami back in 2017 (at the launch for a book on Florida soul music). Never really had the chance to talk about Deep City with either, though they did talk about their time at the label in a Q&A session that day.
