Hi All,

I have a Robinson Recording studios acetate from Philly with version of 'All i need is half a chance' ( not as shown on label) but this does not have Rosey jones on it.

Any thoughts here??

thanks

This sounds like the vocal bare bones version, they must have made it more punchy for the wickett release.

It’s sounds like a ‘guide vocal’ acetate. 👍

Actually im not convinced its rosey jones singing,i reckon its just the superiors on the recording, and they have enlisted rosey jones for the lead vocal for the wickett release?

Think you are right although who sang lead is a mystery. It’s also a rarity- it’s recorded at Robinson sound labs which was the in-house studio for a Philly radio station. Good track in any event and a one- off. Cheers

I like that alternate version, I think it would sound good, loud in a venue!

I first heard Rosey Jones played as a "cover up". It was titled as "All I Need Is Half A Chance" by Carlos Monroe, when Richard Searling started playing it at the Casino.
