So me old mucker John Poole went on his first USA trip with (i think) Gary Rushbrook. He returned with what he thought was the first copy of Lester Tipton + Magnetics - Lady in green etc etc. On his return his next set was at Cleethorpes and he played Lester (twice in his hour as they used to back in the day) This gained instant interest at the decks and one guy said I've got that at home. He was taken aside by Nev Wherry and a deal was struck probably including a packet of Trebor/Polo mints.

Nev's copy went on to have a story of its own but I'm not getting into that one,

I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I thought Rug Bowers had the first copy of Lester Tipton in early 77. He played it at The Rock Foundation in Rushden and lent it to be played at St Ives allnighter later the same night.
