For a £20 punt, you can have 15 7"s brought to yer door - and working on the knowledge of labels, artists etc it's very rare I get a duff track.

The trepidation of sitting in front of yer deck with a handful of unknowns is worth the £20 alone.

Even if you get an out and out duffer, it's worth the quid for the label artwork.

I got a record through the post today and the seller had used a copy of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" on Hi as an envelope stiffener. Admittedly it was in pretty shocking condition, but it did make me think that this fantastic piece of soul was probably far better than the record I'd purchased and I'm ashamed to admit I don't own a decent copy of the Al Green disc. Sometimes in our search for the rare and esoteric we overlook fantastic cheap records.

i'm sure its great to have three and four figure sum priced records, but when you have limited knowledge, as i do, every records a rare one. even the 99p ones
