Never thought I'd do this but this fella has really wound me up.

Basically brought a 7 from him and graded as:

It's in VG+ condition. There are some surface marks but it plays through loud and clear without any skips/jumps. There is some low background noise in places. Most noticeably some low crackling at the intro on both sides.

well its actually covered in 'surface marks' , I'd call some stratches and the noise is loud all the way through, particularly on the bside. All in all the record is pretty much junk.

it was his aggressive reaction which really got me, and was offered a refund minus all fees and postage both ways.

He is using his 50 positive feedback as evidence that he is right, even though i has 450 pos and no negs....tried to be adult and solve it but the guy is basically being a dick. It was only relatively cheap but has now become a point of principle.

Its a real shame, used ebay for years and never had trouble before from soulies, and can honestly say I have never shafted anyone when buying all selling but has really effected how i look at a hobby i enjoy.

Just wanted to warn you all.

Anyone has had dealings? I think i have been more than fair, and don't like outing people on public forums but this fella...........jesus

UK Steve, it has just been his attitude, thought about posting his emails but maybe i should'nt.

I am sure I'm not being unreasonable on the matter.

just an example of the stuff he is saying

"This was not a set sale. It was an auction You chose to bump the price up to a point where the initial bidder decide to call it a day. Had you not he may have won this item for the starting price and as I have already stated I'm sure he would have been more than happy"

I've never dealt with your guy but just had a similar thing with an american. I should have known better as the description was vague and didn't have a proper grading.

We swapped messages where I complained and he said my listings were not clear either (???), after a few where he/she basically avoided doing anything I left neg feedback saying how poor the record was and that he/she didn't want to resolve things then he/she left neg feedback saying I wouldn't accept a refund (which he/she hadn't offered!), then I commented on his neg, then he commented on mine, then I followed up on his etc etc.

Negative feedback is the way to go but you will lose your 100% rating, I lost my 100% back in 1999 so I'm not bothered anymore, I have 5 negs out of 800+ with a rating of 563 so when I need to leave negative feedback I do as 1 more on mine doesn't bother me. If you can stand not having 100% then leave neg feedback, you have 400+ he has 50 so any tit-for-tat will hurt him more, and also warn other people. Most northern record buyers & sellers know each others ID's so they know which feedback to take notice of.

Failing that if you paid him by paypal you will have his address, just polish off that old baseball bat and pay him a visit

I have had to go the paypal route, as I say it is purely a matter of principle, i will pay out most of the money in paypal charged ($25) if they refund me, but it will be worth it.

I have just had emails of irrelevent points apon irrelevent points. I asked for my original £20 bid and I would lose any postage costs i paid, he said he will do me a favor and refund 17 quid, now its not the 3 quid, it was his aggressive attitude and the fact he had listed the record clearly at the wrong grade.

Then when I replied that I did'nt find it as a fair resolution he basically told me to kiss his arse!

Another of his quotes I think was funny, but struggled to understand his point...

"I listed a starting price of £2.99. The first bidder placed a bid of £10.00. I am confident that had this bidder won the item for £2.99, £4.99 or £7.99 they would have been more than happy."

He also seems to be related to Derek Acona
