The magazine is much smaller these days and usually has 4 pages of Soul/Northern in it along with other occasional features (like the one I've mentioned).

That is only a rumour and when I asked the editor about it he said it was untrue.

Trouble is it's not so visible these days, I haven't seen it on sale in WH Smith - or anywhere else for that matter - in years, the website wasn't updated for months, I thought it had gone under!

I only write for them as a freelance, I did ask Bob the editor and he said it was not true, but if you know the owner, then that may be more accurate than what I was told! Hopefully it will not make to much difference to me!!

On the subscription page the mag states that it is going regional and in due course will be a free music magazine.

It says the intention is to sectionalize the UK into 30 different regions and produce a magazine for each region complete with local interest items with 5,000 free copies being made available!

It then says that the only way to guarentee a copy of B&S is to take out an annual reduced price subscription of £40!

Why would anyone take out a £40 subscription to a magazine that states it will shortly become a free magazine?

Confused? Because I am!
