There are a couple of soul instrumental B-sides from the '60s which sound like early incarnations of dub (ie, where the instrumental track has been distorted to the point of sound effects, echo, reverb etc). They are:

The Earthmen: Space Mood (instrumental B-side of "Walkin' By" - Boss Four)

Rex Garvin & The Mighty Cravens: Sock It To 'Em JB, Part Two

They sound absolutely brilliant at full blast on a powerful set of headphones!

Does anyone know of any other soul/dub instrumentals? Obviously, straight instrumental cuts don't count here!
