Rudzy
Just picked up Jimmy Ricks - Romance in the dark on Atlantic. Pleasantly Surprised how good a sound it is - Storms along nicely with the Deep vocal of MR Ricks. Anything else i should be looking for in the R&B field by this Legendary Artist? Cheers Rudzy. mikeysoul
Oh what a feeling on Festival is the biggie. I also like Daddy Rollin' Stone on Atco. Chained & Bound, labelled as Ricky Ricks on Sure Shot is also him, I believe (not 100% though). I think he was quite prolific & a few others are in the guides but couldn't say how good they are. Sebastian
anybody got anymore suggestions - particularly interested in duets with LAVERN BAKER. Their duet "You're The Boss" on Atlantic is very nice and in a "Fever" type of groove. Seems to be popular with the new breed r&b and popcorn crowds.
