just been looking at popsike and some that have fetched close on $500 (there's a few) and can't see the difference.

Good point. Maybe some believe the 'reissue' tag is mistaken and it is in fact an original. I'd never thought of thier being boots of it out there, but after seeing Burnt Toast booted recently maybe anythings possible. For a boot it does looks pretty darn good don't it... :(

it does look ppretty good and if it is a boot makes you wonder how many of the previous ones that fetched plenty of dollars are genuine :lol:

my advice to everyone on here is, if you dont know them, then avoid any sellers from belgium. theres a few dodgy dealers over there, who, opperate under different names, there was a thread on here a couple of months ago about it. a few soul source members have been ripped off by belgiun sellers on ebay

fillipo is on the level though ...and the re-issue warning is in big enough lettering

So anyway, I asked the guy (who I've bought from before and he seems pretty straight) what the difference between the repro and the original is and this is his answer:

"hi ,this record has to be to press 4 X in France, the sound come from the original record, it is one can thicker than the original, and the plastic label. excuse my english. a+++++ filippo"

So there you have it.
