Ordered a Lp from Canada, and the guy has charged $31.50 for postage and he's sent it surface mail, (spitting feathers come's to mind) , the Lp only cost £10.00, surley this is a rib off, I get lp's air mail'd from the States and the most i've paid is $15.00.

Bang out of order Willie"! name the seller. Did he advertise the cost in his listing? Was it a bid item? (he might not have got what he thought in the bid!) Anyway sounds a rip off to me

Unfortunatly Tabs it's already been sent, I have contacted him regarding the cost, but as yet no reply.

Hi Willie....yes this is excessive, with Gemm you can leave the feedback which won't reflect on you as in ebay, if I've ever used Gemm or Musicstack I'll always checkout the sellers rating & contact them re postage, unfortunately this type of rip off is all too common.

Is that dollars US or dollars Canadian? Not that that makes much difference at the moment. The USdollar's bombed down to not much more than the Canadian variety. Gemm does give you the opportunity to check the seller's mailing rates, maybe you should go back and check what his rates actually are. If they say what you paid then you're screwed because you agreed to it, but if they don't you can moider da bum, well, report him to Gemm anyway.

Incidentally, I ordered 3 CDs from Downstairs Records whose website doesn't list prices, but I figured they'd be pretty much the same as everyone else's. Ooops. Just got my Cr. card bill and discovered that I'm paying about £120. Needless to say I shall be querying this figure...
