Interesting post, i used to collect canadian reo and had most of the northern releases but theres a couple on the list i was not aware of- DEE CLARK/ 5 STAIRSTEPS. Would be nice to know if any of the missing numbers were released and what they were.

Believe it or not the are a number of folks trying to fill any holes in Dave Whatmough's discographies but as they are near complete a single fill tends to show up every couple months, the last one 3 months ago was for Zirkon. I update the webpages when I get an update from Dave.

A couple other Canadian labels you might find interesting are Delta and Zirkon. While I'm hardly definative my website does have a rather large amount of discographies, mostly US but some UK and Canadian labels. I'm in the process of finishing almost everything from Australia from 1955-1975. No ads, no cookies just discographies.

No Reo releases were issued on the same day as the US release. Reo like Barry Records was a subsidiary of Quality Records and between the 3 of them they released a lot of US artists. All the Canadian discographies I have on my website are for the most part Canadian issues of US 45s.

FYI - a large amount of Dave Whatmough's collection was, and still is, in Stardust Records in Hamilton. All that is left now is a couple of 1000 country 45's, I have been through it a couple of times and picked up a few things that were mis-filed.

Excellent website, wish i'd had access to it a few years ago when i was more actively collecting canadian records.

Great list didn't know this was 1963.

As it says we press records in vinyl smoother playing and long lasting.
