Posted June 9, 200817 yr Just been listening to Junior Walkers 'Walk in the night', and I swear his sax (backing) is singing...................No I'm not under the influence, but does anybody else hear it or do I need help. Maybe its in other records also, any nominations. Ed
June 9, 200817 yr There is actual 'singing' on 'Walk In The Night'. Beautifully soft femme vocals, singing along with the sax. Sean

Sean I realise that but the sax is so in tune with the singing, its like JW is singing into his sax and it comes out like it does. Not being a musician, Im not sure if theres a technique used or he is just unique. Ed
June 9, 200817 yr It is possible to sing at the same time as playing a woodwind instrument, I've only ever heard it in weird modern Classical pieces and the odd bit of jazz though, and generally just sounds rather than lyrics. Why not stick a soundfile up and we can all have a listen? Edited June 9, 200817 yr by rachel

Ed Similar on "I Can't Dance To That Music You're Playin'" Hard to tell just where the Vocal ends and the Sax takes over.
