The Wilson Brothers - Ill Always Love You/Soul Town - RCA 47-9732, Arranged and conducted by Bernie Hofer.

Got this on Canadian RCA from 1969 and cant find anything about it? Ill Always Love You side is uptempo but sometimes they sound a bit white to me. Soultown is a bit more funkier but still uptempo.

Anybody know/got it?

I'll always love you is a ballad actually, I bought a copy on canadian RCA once and it played a DIFFERENT CUT on that side! You probably have the same press. I don't know if it's another track by the group or a totally separate group. This group evolved into mandrill.

Hi bob here is clip of US RCA version

I have this on a yellow US Rca Promo, never seen an issue though, nice ballad too...Graham

Their other 45 on RCA, "You Took My Future Away", is a superb uptempo tune in my opinion.

Didn't know about the Mandrill connection! Great info. :D

I will post the canada press when I get a chance in a few days. Maybe an undiscovered northern track??? I have no idea what makes a good northern track. I like the ballad side that's NOT on the canada press though.

Wilson Brothers "Soul Town" featured on that brilliant 1969 UK RCA compilation album "Just a little bit of soul"

Great mixture of soul on that album - a deffo must have at the time for any self respecting soul lover - including monster Northern tracks by Willie Kendricks - "Change your ways" and Exciters - "Blowing up my mind" and Deep tracks from Zerben R Hicks and Rose Valentine, amongst others.

Pretty sure Dave Godin had a hand in the selection.

Take care

John
