I agree. I'm not a very good dancer, but I love to dance to songs. Some songs are either too slow for me to dance to or are too fast, but I still love em just the same and it doesn't mean they shouldn't be played imo.

If you look in All About Soul, I thinka bout 36/37 threads down, there is an earlier thread called "Dance Classes" which is about the same thing mate. Dunno how to post a link to it.

I don,t think the scene in the main is as dance driven as it used to be Mark, over the last few years I have been to many nites where the floor is not that busy but feedback says that people have still had a hell of a nite, take the D.D.A at Lowton for example, DJ,s are told to enjoy themselves, have fun and don,t worry about the dancefloor, records are applauded by people in their seats aswell as on the floor, I have to admit though there are some sounds that make impossible to remain seated.

Whatever next......I classify myself as a dancer, it's something that's developed over time, everyone has there individual style, the same but different kinda thing.....I don't think that it's something that can ultimately be 'taught'....just another way of comercialising the scene even more, perhaps we'll see a routine on 'So you think you can dance'.....heaven forbide.
