According to Manships boot guide booted on orange & black, doesn't mention a demo, but all the demos I've seen have had the lightning flash in the middle.

Hasn't it got something to do (if I remember correctly) with the ending of the distribution of Stax by Atlantic in 1968? Before the deal was ended the original designs for Stax (blue) and Volt (black/red with lightning flash in the middle) were used, after the deal had ended older Stax titles were repressed on Green labels and Volt titles on multi-coloured labels with a different design (for which the first scan is a white demo)?
