Flip pver your copy of Four Below Zero - My Baby's Got ESP (on 12 anyway) and you'll find a nice little tune called Like Her by Gentlemen and Their Lady. Its not massively soulful but the production is incredibly dynamic and it probably got a lot more dance-floor action than ESP in its day. Anyway, I have been told that it was spun as a new release, presumably at the Mecca or Ritz.

Aren't some of the more funky 70s sides such as Like Her, Summer In The Parks etc due for a revival? As I have said,they may not be overly soulful but surely there should be space for tunes that just exist to move the feet!

Like her was a massive tune in it's time. I used to love this but it does sound a bit dated now. If you want a sound file theres one on www.soulclub.org
