Just found this while digging through some old memorabilia--a letter sent by Sonny Marshall of Dotty's to a club owner, promoting his roster of artists available for live shows. No date on it, but probably 1967. Anybody ever heard of Radio Slim? Sounds sort of like a blues name, but Together I Cry is a cool title.

Sorry for the double post--how do I delete the first one?

Thx.

That'a nice little piece of history Joe.

:wicked:

cool piece of memorabillia that. bit spooky cos only today i had on in car "not my girl" and was thinking what the hell happened to johnny hampton, did he record other stuff or just dissapear? also what else is on dotty's? some of you detroit buffs must know!

Not My Girl was Johnny Hampton's one and only record. The other great Dotty's 45 is by Gail Nevels--rarer than Johnny H., and a two-sider. There are a couple other things on the label that are cheaper and decent, but not nearly at the level of quality of these two. Same family of labels included Star Track and Whip, which include some nice stuff, too.

Hi Dave!

I'm not sitting on vast piles of great paper and photos, but I do have some other things I'll put up over the next few weeks.

Joe
