December 24, 200816 yr Sad news about Zavvi - it was one of only two places (the other being HMV itself) that I could rely on for current 7" vinyl releases. Edited December 24, 200816 yr by Gene-R

If my info is correct, Zavvi used Woolies distribution arm and now that Woolies has gone down the plug, Zavvi are stuffed.....stone, ripples etc. I worked for HMV in Oxford St in '77 when it was THE only megastore on the strip.....and jolly fine it was too. But we did stock everything back then - not like now....drone, drone, when I was a whippersnapper etc

December 24, 200816 yr My local Zavvis (Woking and Walton-on-Thames) have been utter crap when it comes to JA music and not much better with Soul stuff. I've heard from others in other parts of England over at Trojan that their local branches have been a bit better (on the Reggae front) I won't miss it, I'm always successfully disappointed whenever I go in.
