Last month, when I posted an image of on old Dotty's office document, Ady Croasdell asked if I had any Dave Hamilton stuff. No office material, but I did find this ad they ran in the graduation program for a local dance school, from the summer of 1966. Interesting that the Tokays were part of the Topper stable, as well as three bands I don't know--the Excellos, Accents (I'm guessing this is neither the Chicago group nor the one on Karate), and the Kaydees.

Great stuff, yes the Tokays were part of dave's management and Chico & Buddy from the group went on to record for his labels. i don't know those other groups but there's all sorts of intersting contracts like a song written for a Topper release that ended up allocated to someone totally different.

Could you do a good scan of it face on and I'll use it in Vol 4, it'll give me a chance to list all the "what if" connections.

Cheers

Nice.

I think I used to read 'The Topper' in the 60s.... "Beryl the Peril", "Biffo the Bear"?

(Seriously, Detroit recordings don't come much better than Tobi Lark "Happiness Is Here")
