Dead right - one with strings and one without - the one without is less common and very sought after with the London two steppers.

I was told how to tell the two "Deto" 45s appart by the matrix numbers in the run out,

the one with the strings & tambourine has "III 61142 A6

the one without has "II 61142 A6"

nah, both are red label de-to's johnny and i think its a case of which version you're used to maybe, i've always preferred the one without the strings coz thats the one i own, james always maintained he preferred the one with strings....until he found out mine was the rarer version

Strings version is on Goldmine first modern soul cd and the non strings is on the first Soul Togetherness cd.
