The Generic One Below.

Another Generic Type. I haven't one to hand at the moment,

however there were many different sleeves with the Latest Album Releases Printed Around The Sleeve.

Here`a a few more to add to Rogers ones :cheese1:

Used to have the first one, but it had an advertisment for a Diana Ross show on the other side. Gave it to Rob Lloyd from Wrexham.

My copy of Debbie Dean's "Why Am I Loving You" (now there's a classic that deserves a revival!) originally came in the latter black & white, 'Hitsville USA' sleeve, but I think the 'multi-album ad' sleeves were mostly used by the late 60's(?)

Bobby Taylor's "Oh, I've Been Blessed" (1970) and Commodores "Human Zoo" came in the latter (blue) versions (I think). You can date 'em from the albums advertised of course, the 'Motown Story' must be after 1971.

There's also a variation on the red phono sleeve that's pictured with the Spinners 45- I've seen it once in a light blue color.

Looks very strange when you're used to always seeing it in red.

I believe the album cover sleeves came out in late 1966/ early 1967.

Here's the Diana Ross one. Its blue on the other side. The show was in 1971.

I've never seen it in light blue!! Didn't know that existed at all.

Does anyone know which company sleeves the early Gordy were put in?

Plum label / yellow Gordy at the top (It's what's in the groove that counts)

Thanks
