That well known record dealer from Southampton - Pete Widdison - rarely spotted with soft drink in hand.

Used to buy quite a bit from him at the time - mainly UK releases, nothing mad expensive - well regarded as a good bloke.

Bumped into him a few times a couple o' years ago - Burnley springs to mind - when he was travelling up north.

    Didn't he take black and white photos outside Wigan?? Sure it is him!! Never saw what he took though.

    Last saw Pete Widdison at Judy D'Albertson's birthday party back in 2008. He's still living in Southampton and going to Allnighters, Weekenders, etc.
    He was a big British collector and (I think) was responsible for discovering John Drevar's Expression amongst others.

    Think your right about the john drevars, the closer she gets, they were from southampton, and ime sure they performed not long ago.

    Ha, that's me on the left. Always the bridesmaid. 😉

    Top man was Widdi, discovered loads of UK releases that are now absolute classics in British label collections.
    I used to spend hours, at work, listening to stuff he'd unearthed, at extortionate prices like 50p to £3, which was actually quite a lot of money back in the early to mid 70s.
