This is a stomping dancefloor filler for every DJ and collector to add to their record box! Draped in elegant strings that call to mind the disco queens of the 70’s, ‘Stepping…’ kicks into gear from the off, with the help of a driving horn section and chanting backing vocals. The sense of overcoming adversity and finding oneself is notable in the anthemic, chest-beating chorus: “I’m stepping out of your shadow / I won’t be lonely when you pick up your stride”, a positive outlook to begin 2022! Original copies of this political soul anthem change hands for a lot of money. BGPRO_01-1-1.mp3 Reuben Bell With the Casanovas - It's Not That Easy - BGP This slice of Louisiana deep southern soul It's Not That Easy has taken on a life of its own since Dave Godin included it on his “Deep Soul Treasures” CD, and the single has shot up to well over three figures. In 2021 the song is the subject of a cover version by the-name-to-drop Lady Blackbird and we felt it was about time that it was reissued in its original format.
