two from me tymes - someway somehow doesn't get mentioned much nowadays but had some time in the sun.. was it 78 ? guilty pleasure at the time as could remember when first released 75 - top 50? there was a fair few of these mid 70s easy to get 45s revitalised round 78 a la gameplayers etc another guilty pleasure (aint heard since back then) was a tailor made one the (unreleased) instrumental version of "one fine morning" - memory says as the james bond feel was more obvious it sounded a lot better than it should of course kept such views to meself at the time
  3. recent talked about at the time one think got a live version somewhere by foundations but not really that good any more...?
  4. later version A very rare clip of Cliff Nobles and his group performing the horse. This clip has the original musicians of the song. Benny Williams on Bass, Bobby Tucker on Guitar, Tommy Soul on Drums. [media=] ahh think someone has dubbed this over the orignal clip here click
  5. as said before am a sucker for different/cover versions... good or bad with the instrumental side selling over a million there's quite a few versions of this show up and of course there's the 3 diff 65 early versions andy rix on background https://www.soul-source.co.uk/articles/articles/soul-articles/love-is-allright-background-andy-rix-r187 one from the Philippines
  6. if you substitute "modern" with "current" could you not argue the point that such releases have been played and accepted since day 1 ?
  7. below was posted via contact us and have posted just in case anyone can help Hello I wonder if you could help me please? I noticed a question posted on your forum in 2009 with regards to Baileys Nightclub in Hull in 1971 and wondered if you could point me in the right direction with obtaining some information. I have a friend who is a singer/guitarist. In 1971 he was asked to play in a group which was being organised to tour around the Baileys nightclubs. In this group was my friend Lawrence 'Ted' Heath - bass guitarist, the late Dave Rowberry - drums (ex Animals) Stuart - guitarist (now playing with Cockney Rebel) Tim also on guitar who is a folk singer now. This group was fronted by Adam Faith. On the bill with them was Mike Yarwood and Dana. The only other things of that night that Lawrence can remember is that a young man on his stag night fell over the balcony and unfortunately died. I have managed to find out that there was an article written in 1971 about this club/night in the Hull Times, because the club had recently opened again, but I am unable to find out anything about this newspaper. I wondered if you would know where I could obtain a copy of this article or even any information regarding this. Lawrence is still in contact with Stuart and Tim and only recently read about the death of Dave Rowberry. As most people they are reminiscing about their youth. Thank you for your time Chris

  10. always interesting looking back, guess depends on what call active just had a quick mental add up - using the hover card last logged in would say maybe 5 or 6 of posters no longer active after 6 years ?
  11. suggest you go and wise up on the legal side as i dont take these sort of half baked legal threats lightly if you got a problem with ANY post you need to inform the site we do not in a postion to make calls on what is true or not true go and read the terms of use it is up to you to inform us if you find any comment or post out of order and as always we then look at it then and if going to continuing making these half baked schoolboy legal threats then as said I seriously suggest that you do start looking up the legal side of defamation etc as it does work both ways

  14. just a recap idea is to try and reduce the number of vids on each page there's 50 posts a page, so if carry on with the posting text after the vid it means only be 25 vids per page which should help avoid the loading probs some have been having mike

  22. getting reports that this thread is crashing browsers can you please 1. do not quote clips - as by doing such you are just increasing the effort needed by browsers to render thge page 2. post just one clip per post 3. if posting a clip try and post the words to go with it in a following post - there are 50 posts per page - so if do this it will again lessen the load and also help avoid people quoting the clip thanks mike
