Oh whata happy farting family we are!!!! Interesting that you want to flyer an event which you dispise. It could have been a little arkward if some of those ''disco pricks'' or ''RnB nobs'' turned up at your club with the odd request of none motown related soul tunes. Oh now I get it, the main room punters may have been more of you target audience....Hm.....would they expect you to play original vinyl....what a crazy complicated world this is sometimes...... Anyway, I guess if you could have been bothered to show those ''tossers'' some respect in the first place before you even entered the venue, things could have been a little different. Promoting and organising an event is hard work, lots of hassle, a finiancial risk and requires passion for the music but nevertheless it's also very rewarding if people go home with a smile. You can't just expect to walk in for free, flyer the event and then bugger off! If, for the right reasons you may not be able to pay once or twice it's probably not a big deal to ask nicely if it's possible to put some flyers out but for me and I guess for a few others it is about supporting something we love. Soul Music and Soul Nights/Allnighters!!!!! But at the same time respect people to say no or where they usually like other promoters to put their flyers but most importantly support and enjoy Soul Music!!!!!!

Fascinating stuff!! It's a UK thing but will it disappear once the old timers are all gone ??? Northern Soul in general seems to attract more and more people outside the UK which may keep the record hunting going but as for britsh collecting....I wonder...???? But they do look nice me thinks!!!

I am looking forward to see the film and I am also glad that there is some footage from the casino days. I was still playing with pebbles on the beach when you were singing ...I am just a pebble....so, for me the casino footage was and still is inspiring !!!! The film may or may not be nominated for an Oscar but imagine if it would......

What I find intriguing that in Europe and other countries more and more people try to live up to the original format only soul night/allnighter.....AND THOUROULY ENJOYING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the Uk it is somehow split with the traditional elder statesman of soul and some young ones keeping the faith...and lets say the more commercial end of affairs... Hm, at least there is light at the end of the tunnel I think!!!! I do have a question for everyone in the UK??? I always wondered whether the amount of events which do play CD'S and do not give a toss about..... has increased since lets say the rather more lean years of soul during the end of the 80's & 90's?????????

I used to constantly do stuff like that with a mate of mine when we were running a midweek Club!!! We started off with different colours, then with certain words within the title (jerkin), instruments (flute) ...The first one to fail to put a track on had to pay a round of drinks!!!! Great fun!!!!!!!!

Would you go to an art gallery near you where someone just put up some prints of Picasso or rather see the paintings in it's original glory???? I am sure there are some places near you which offer ''original artwork'' with a good cause attached to it. Maybe support them would be a good idea????

Yep Top Track... I had my hopes to win it but yes but no but....

It has been played to death in Germany in the 80's & 90's but I still think it's a good track!!!

For me Movin On is the better side!!!!!!!!!!!! It's one of my all time top Northern Soul records!!!!!
