A Soul and Social Event Re-Imagined Lets do it in an all 'NEW and different venue.....!! Lets hear a WIDE spectrum of soul tunes from the 60's to present day !! Lets put in a TOP quality sound system !! Lets have a quirky little WOODEN dancefloor space where we can have a boogie and strut our stuff !! Lets make Sundays SOCIAL Oh and Lets make all of this FREE entry !! Oh and its FREE parking on Tower Sq outside on Sundays !!!! Just drop in..it REALLY is that simple !!!! A belated but nonetheless relevant review on Whitchurch on Saturday night Question Did it tick all the boxes ? Oh yes, yes and thrice YES..... *.Crowd up for it * Music firmly aimed at a nighter crowd * Dj's enthusiastic and ready for action *Staff really on the ball and service with a smile . I mention that coz not everyone likes working at an all nighter esp if you don't get the ethos !!! One final thing the SWEET SPOT ...every allnighter has one....some hit that sweet spot at around 4am some earlier...its that period of time when the dancers are giving it some..the music is sublime...the atmos is off the scale............its that moment when ya think NOW THIS IS WHY I PREFER ALLNIGHTERS !!! Disagree with me if you will...but I could swear blind this hit the 'sweet spot' very very early on ...just had that feel !!! Well done to Pep for persevering, and having the 'balls' to take this on as an allnighter.....Its got it all !!! The big room feel and the Iconic venue status..... Whitchurch is here to stay !!!!!

Right this is hopefully the first of many 'Soul and Social' type Sundays we do here we are looking forward plus slightly nervous as to what this will evolve into............... 'Back to Our Roots' is a subtle twist on the fact that we started these 'type' of events nearly 5 years ago in the back room...... For those of a certain age we can go Back... over 50yrs where it was always a popular 'meeting place' and somewhere to collect 'ones belongings' prior to a that walk of 'shame' round to Hose st Anyway we aim to recreate that type of soul and social vibe that we had when we did that first one at Hartshill.....all very casual...all very soulful As a Sunday session we feel its time to move on from regular Sunday sessions in familiar WMC's with tables and chairs laid out like a school dinner hall ..... lets do summat different lets take over a big front room in a pub.....with a nice little wooden dancefloor a large tiled floor space...a few quirky nooks and crannies.... Let the FTMNYC chaps loose to play some tunes..............and away we go !!!! As is the norm down here at the Cricket Club..any Major Sports events are on the screen in the bar and lounge area... THEREFORE those who want to keep up to date on the Liverpool -Madrid game...can do so !! 🙂

Really looking forward to this Saturdays FTMNTC offering. There has been quite a momentum built up from Tim's and Mark's appearances over the last 2 months. We welcome Ian Evans for his first ever outing here in South Cheshire ...and we guarantee he will 'blow your mind' with some tasty tracks !! I'll just reinforce again ...we have DJ's on for a reason..and thats to enhance the musical quality of the evening What to expect ? ...well dunno..thats the attraction !!! You CAN expect a wide range of tunes wide array broad array large variety wide assortment wide selection WE look forward to welcoming both old and new 'enthusiasts' to our event One final thing...its REAL friendly here ...no masonic type handshakes, no fashion shows. no stories of the Golden Casino , no awkward cliques . This Saturday is the Swinton Palais time, with 10 of the country’s leading DJ's for you playing an incredible selection of massive oldies from the Torch to the Casino in the main room and rare and underplayed gems in the Mustang room, 10 hours of unadulterated soul for just £12. We also have a record selling room, cheap bar prices and one of the best dance floors in the north of England. What’s not to like, so get your self along from 8pm to 6am. The Swinton team..

Just under a week to go..... Congleton Cricket Club is the venue for a superb night of tunes....not just 60/70's BUT the whole gambit and eras... in one night!! Getting ready for the 'Git Down' .......always an excellent night in a great venue !!!

Another feast of tunes expected for this end of May gathering. You may notice our guest DJ's are not the same DJ's who do the 'circuit' week in week out. Whilst those do a sterling job...the DJ's we choose tend to be low profile/high quality selectors. Many don't post on here with their exploits here and there ...preferring a more selective approach HOWEVER don't let this confuse you...these DJ's are chosen for a reason !!!! No not neccessarily to put 'bums on seats' BUT to enhance the musical offering...and they do that with aplomb !!! Tim Ashibende , Mark Jones ...you've raised the bar....take it away IAN EVANS...a warm welcome awaits you...
