  1. I can't get to it.
  2. I wouldn't know to be honest Steve, I'm not a psych expert. I've got the Halleluiah Chorus 45 (superb 45 btw) but again I wouldn't have thought that was a psych tune. Certainly I would agree around the right era and slightly oddball and leftfield compared to most straight soul. May be I don't really know what psychedelic soul is.
  3. Must admit, I was thinking the same thing. The Ordells track is one of my all time favourite tunes with an utterly jaw dropping string arrangement and amazing atmosphere, but psychedelic? Not sure about that Steve, may be the eerie twink of a noise on the fade out.
  4. Black Smoke - Freedom of the Mind, is sheer top class brilliance with the fantastic Wayne Henderson production.
  5. This is a big fav of mine. Marva Whitney - Giving up on love
  6. He plays a part historically for the tunes he introduced to the scene all those years ago, but to include his name currently in a list of contenders for #1 DJ in the world at this point (or any point really) is laughable. You need to have consistent immaculate taste for a start, which Searling and Dobson both have and Levine doesn't.
  7. Can't add to that, a spot on post.
  8. I think it's just a poor press and not well mastered, the story of so many great 45's, all the Modo stuff for a start. The slow flip sounds better than the uptempo side.
  9. Got that somewhere. It's where I first heard Maze's later (best) version of "While I'm Alone". Jordi

  11. The Reggie Saddler Revue is such a brilliant uplifting dancer and a great price. Someone should grab this.
  12. I'd like a copy of that Point of View.
  13. Miles Jaye used to get a lot of plays as a new release in clubs, house parties and bars well away from our 'scene'. Roy Ayers in full effect!! Jordi
  14. Thanks for that Mr. Polyvelts. Jordi

LA low rider sweet soul tune. It's actually the Fabulous Malibus. I believe it was a popular local tune at the time although that hasn't translated into copies floating around. I think there's also a connection with Santana in that I think down the line the Fabulous Malibus morphed into Malo who morphed into Santana. Something like that anyway. I'm sure any of the guys on here into sweet soul like BobA or Sleeps would kn ow more. I've asked these guys for any leads to a copy but zilch. I know someone with a copy over here but I don't think he's up for selling. Jordi

Good luck, I've been after this for some years without a sniff. Jordi
  18. I think they should have paid more attention to the fact he's the guitarist and not the bassist. Come to think of it, he's probably the guy responsible for the legendary Tighten Up guitar line, so he can wear what the f@ck he likes in my book.
  19. Missed this, and I forgot to put my $29.99 snipe on it. Would I have been close? Jordi
  20. Leno Phillips ....... what a brilliant record!! seriously cheap as well.
