If it's fact and not hear say Chalky... then why doesn't the said 'highly respected DJ of many years standing' just come on and name who it is. Too much 'he said' and 'she said' on the scene.... no one can hide from the truth... so come on out and say it .. thats what i think anyway. I have my thoughts as to who you are referring to... not from anything i've heard... just from looking in 'events'. BUT i could be wrong... so i think it's only fair to promoters of other unconnected venues that the name of said promoter be known.. if only to stop rumour and wrong guessing.- D.D.A @ LOWTON
12th January 2007- Yet Another One I've Always Wanted To Hear
The ones i know of are Cliff Steele... Andy Dyson... and recently Mick H... not sure if Butch has one or not. Have to say Phil it's anything but a common play... unless one the DJ above are on and i happen to be there. First heard it from Ion... dread to think how many years ago now... that guy discovered some records... Just awesome- These Tracks Are Dynamite Crossover
Karl was playing this at SoN about a year ago... have to say... never been a fav of mine... Now if you were to post that Foreign Blue Renaissance tune...- Yet Again
The Volumes is a million times better version imo... have heard it out a number of times.. but always Shades of Bloody Blue... Why any one would play Shades of Blue when theres the Volumes is something i will never understand.. Top tune btw- Thanks Everyone
and and Best to you fella x- Yet Another One I've Always Wanted To Hear
Phillip... Phillip... Phillip... Andy Dyson played it when he DJ'd at your do at Burnley Football/cricket club... and it's been played many a time elsewhere when you've been there... i don't know PS: My fave tune ever btw- Hammy
Me too!! A lovely man with awesome taste in music... feel better soon fella- So What Makes A Good Dj
Well i have these 2 in my play box... get yourself to Lowton on Friday and i will gladly play them... good chance they might get played anyway... Take a look in Lookback's... at the playlists from our last do to see the kind of stuff that gets played at DDA. /index.php?showtopic=38788 Can i ask a question... the soul scene is nationwide... and every one i know travels out of their local area on a regular basis... is there a particular reason why you choose not to do this? I have some good friends who live in Gloucester... and they travel practically EVERY weekend in order to hear the sounds they want to hear... due to the fact they're not played locally.- dda@lowton
