  1. I rarely look at records these days cos I can't afford them (everybody say ahhhh) but I did keep an eye on this one only because I had just bought mine. The fact that a record has been re-issued doesn't make it any less rare or special in my eyes. Re-issues are exactly that, be them legal or otherwise they are not originals and as such should not get played out. Buy what you want to listen to at home but please leave them there (she says waiting to be slaughtered)
  2. Last one he had went for just under a grand if I remember rightly.
  3. I don't mean I play the gold one, green all the way from me

Didn't they contact this site asking for a team to go on a while ago? Pretty sure I remember something about it.
  5. Yeah but that's too much. I'd say £800 to a grand and worth every penny!

Looks like he hasn't been online since July 2011. Might be an idea to email him

  9. I don't mind them either but the stamp on this one should say 'pants' Not for me but I am surprised by the price. Has it always gone for that much?
  10. Rightly so. Can we have it on another thread though please
  11. Like I said, I would not expect anything other than originals to be played by any of the DJs who play at Grumpy. Hope to see you in May, I think you will enjoy it
  12. 8 hrs of tunes? Phil has a great memory but even he would struggle with that. Believe me the rest were every bit as good. You'll have to come to the next one, you can come with Mr Johnson
  13. All I can say is I wouldn't expect anything but an original to be played. Thanks for typing all that up Phil. Not the entire list of what was played of course, but you get the drift. Top night indeed! Thanks to everyone who played, danced and talked shit
  14. Are you kidding me? That's you not getting in on Saturday
  15. Dean just said the server is full? Don't know if that has anything to do with it.
  16. I'll be there beside you H! How anyone can stop themsleves from dancing to this record is beyond me.
  17. I am not doubting anyone's passion and I am certainly not trying to belittle what is trying to be achieved here. Apologies if it seems like I am. I work in heritage and feel very strongly about things like this. That said, we all know what the media is like, especially where the soul scene is concerned. They certainly don't have an impressive track record of making us look good do they? If it was me, I would have concentrated on putting the serious message across, as in the clubs history and what it means to the many people who still go there. Not have them focus in on me and my tattoo. It has got the word out there though which can only be a good thing. I have signed the petition.
  18. And that one is always me All good here thanks T.
  19. I mentioned it because I found it absolutely hilarious. What has a tattoo on your leg got to do with saving a club? I mentioned FW because it's pants
  20. My labels are the right way round too. Remember Geoff Buckley telling me about this but can't think exactly what he said now. edit: seeings as I can't remember there was no point in mentioning it
  21. Tommy Dent is a bloody awful record. Starts off great and then nothing but a mess.
  22. Saw it on the local news last night. Peter somebody showing the Twisted Wheel tattoo on his leg to the sound of Do I Love You
  23. Really miss you Jason. You would love Grumpy, we put it on with good folk like you in mind. Would be great if you could make it - try and get something sorted!
