  1. So does Nosmo
  2. Unbosom? What a great word So far we've got Steptoe, Nosmo and Dave going head to head to head
  3. Jeez... you must have come into some serious money. And yes I am jealous
  4. I am very surprised by the lack of response from the powers that be on this thread. There wasn't one negative post, only valid points made by people who genuinely care and want this weekend to improve. Very poor customer service and certainly not what you expect from such a huge event, especially not on this scene.
  5. Are you in the running for TPT Dave?
  6. I didn't mean anything by what I said. Apologies if I came across that way.
  7. So we've got Phil and Paul going head to head
  8. Collecting northern. Common sense. Four words never used in the same sentence
  9. I thought it was Bidds - and now I know. And Butch definitely played Lover Come Back. I remember because it is only one of two times I have heard it played out. The other time was Rob Marriot. Yes, people were a little thin on the ground. Music was great though. As was the smell of food if I remember rightly
  10. I'll second that. And what a tune!
  11. Not being funny, but that is the worst version imo. Her voices is like chalk on a blackboard. Or me singing. Truly awful
  12. I like it. That said, it is most definitely a case of the rarity of the record outweighing the condition. If it was a £100 tune that came up for sale every week, you would not entertain buying it in this condition. But like I said to Dylan, when do you think you will see another one come up for sale? Let alone a minter. It is all academic for me anyway, I can't even afford the £100 ones these days Sooo... anyone want to hazard a guess as to what it will go for? $2250.00 with two days to go? Looking like Russ wasn't far off with his offer! James T, are you not interested this time?
  13. Oh, and that lucky rogue John Weston recently got Soul Sam's copy.
  14. I absolutely love both sides. The Cameros and Sandy Golden go hand in hand for me. I can even remember Butch playing 'Lover Come Back' at an all dayer in Stoke about a million years ago. Might even have been at Bidds - years before the all nighters came about.
  15. I have heard records in a lot worse condition than this. Anyway, you hold out for a minter... you shouldn't have to wait long!
  16. I don't think it is as bad as the last one that was up for sale. Anyone remember how much that one went for?
  17. Absolutely Mrs. M. Dore without doubt!
  18. I would be willing to pay that price too. Can't see anyone willing to let it go for that though. An awesome tune. Good luck!
  19. The 'sock treatment' Ted? I know I am going to regret asking
  20. Come on... who's going for it? https://cgi.ebay.com/Two-Plus-Two-on-Velgo-MEGA-RARE-northern-soul-45-HEAR_W0QQitemZ270487191024QQcategoryZ306QQcmdZViewItem Good on Russ for trying to get it for $2000
  21. Bernard Smith is such an incredible tune!! Wish I had one I do have a Bonnie Blanchard though
  22. This record makes everyone's life better just for hearing it. Come on people... give it a listen
  23. Hi Tony and Karla. Lovely to have you on here.
  24. Sorry Phil, but yes it was because it was me who was talking about it! Anyway, lets leave it there.
