100 Club Sensation
And Ady was not wrong! It was a real humdinger and then some! The full report (adapted from a post on sscdt) of the weekends antics follows:- Friday we went to JesiccKakaka's house leaving party. She lives in a flat that was once a Bryant and May match factory. Quite striking it was. I took my new plastic beaker with secure top and straw from which I drank my wine and larger (I can not be trusted with glasses) On Saturday we went to Carla and Steve's to see baby (beauty btw) and then onto the 100 Club. Trickster was guest DJ and he did himself proud. Though top DJ of the night was awarded to Mick Smith for getting Mandy and Janine on the floor doing some rather splendid back drops and kicks I bought a glass of larger upon arrival at 1.30 and Ady Lupton commented on how it was unfair that I had a proper glass glass and everyone else had to have plastic glasses (commented, close to tears rather), I told him it was because I can be trusted. I still had the same glass with about an inch of the same larger left in the bottom, which I intended to finish, until about 6.30 when it left the table and smashed on the floor (I can not be trusted with glasses) As is customary, we were the last ones to leave the Club A most excellent 100 Club; great atmosphere and a brilliant time Sunday we left Starbucks and went to Ady Lupton's house where we chilled with a nice glass of vodka and orange while Ady played us all his records. Then, in the early evening we went to the Sunday Snug, run in Filthy McNastys pub by Andy BB and BD Kenny. Fantastic time with a great 'back drop' of soul music while fun and games ensued. Most of us won prizes, though Ady Croasdell won the most prizes due to his ability to drink Guinness quicker than anyone else. Backdoor kept setting his bingo card on fire and Ben Summers didn't win any prizes because he's a cheat and a loser (he was caught red-handed on the phone to John Weston trying to solve the soul quiz clues; all to no avail any way as he was disqualified and Abbott/Snow got 100%) . The evening finished with a somewhat heated discussion on what to include on a potential new CD release - working title "Yes these have been Played at Northern Soul Nights. Yes they are Utter Shite". The Selection Board of Croasdell, Abbott, Snow, Brown, Backdoor, Summers and BB could, in the time available, only decide on two 45's to include - 'Scratchy' and another which can not be disclosed at present. It is hoped to get this released under the Kent/Ace label, but talks are expected to last for some time..... And of course we were the last to leave the pub Another brilliant time was had The late addition of Nick Brown to the Selection Board was rather fortunate as we did not have a clue where we were (ok it was London somewhere) and he escorted us safely home A most excellent weekend

Lonely For You Baby
He's cut it off a Japanese LP "from Birmingham to Atlanta" with added girl vocals. Makes a nice change IMO. Hey, if something is available on LP, is it acceptable to play it off an acetate and not spin the original vinyl format -LP?. I'll get me coat LOL
-
Newly Cut Acetates
If its unreleased. Yes imo. I know Ady doesnt have a problem for unissued stuff out on Kent cd's to be cut - long as he hasnt/or had a single planned of it

Prestatyn.....record Hunting
You could give the prize to the record dealer that is the most organised? I hardly looked through any boxes last year. I bought 2 records i think for £15 off Ben Summers, but as I spent a lot of the weekend behind his boxes it was quite easy to look through, but only looked through about 100 of them. And a few of Rob Messrs records, and thats cos he was next to Ben and it was easy..... On late Sunday afternoon the panic set in that I hadnt looked through any boxes or bought much i walked upto a box arm out stretched and ready to start looking... but I got there and just couldnt be arsed...

Weekender Survival Guide
Bannana Slimfast is MY favourite Fair enough getting back to the chalet, but you have to find your way out of the building first!! At a certain time most entrancies/exits are closed and last year I took a 'funy turn' and needed out but couldnt find the way - which really did my head in! I had to get someone to show me the way out. Luckily I wasn't really sick till i made the back door. Well not much

Ebony Alleyne
Was an official limited quantity single issued, by Sony and Levine carried the number of the single on from the last Okeh single which was issued. Think 3 singles were done in total. Sony got rid (that is probably not the correct term!) of Ebony Alleyne and the album was as you say in the can.

At Least He's Honest Lol
I did not know the dealers name becuase I found it through another site who act as a 'shop front' for various dealers. Now that the name is mentioned I am sure i tried to order something from there a few years ago. Out of stock of course LOL I do not understand the guys philosphy of leaving stuff on his list that he hasnt had for years and by his own admission has a slim chance that he will have again. It clearly pisses him off and us off. I wont bother asking him again if he has a record. Waste of fackin time. And Pete - get your hair cut mate.
