Perhaps you should put more than one record in your play box, sorry just couldn't resist .

So how many dj on here with bootlegs and re-issue vinyl?
In the same way that a smart chimp could do exactly the same with a box full of OVO, however if said chimp kept playing the wrong side the night would have to be advertised as a rare and underplayed night

The Last Poets on TV
I have heard that the The Last Poets will feature in Going Underground on RT (UK), channel 512 on Sky, on Saturday @ 14:30, I can't verify this off the net as yet though.

RECORD COLLECTION FOR SALE
You could try looking on Discogs to establish what you have and the value, it has listings that include originals, legal issues/reissues and bootlegs, most listings include pictures. Although its not as comprehensive as a John Manship guide it may give you an idea to start with. As has been said the original/bootleg/repress questions will be the hardest to answer but Discogs may give you an idea of original/re-issue/value etc. Discogs is quite easy to use once you get used to it, plus you can see what people are selling stuff for. Obviously record condition is important and can also be a bit of a minefield, but there are also guidelines on how to grade records. Good Luck.

Bloody hell Pete that goes for nigh on a grand, I know the lad said he had a few quid but .............

New to the Scene and looking for advice
If you want, I will put you a pack of 12 records together for 85 quid inc UK postage. I can't get more than that in one record mailer. I will pick out well known/classic northern records which you will like and will be in at least VG++ condition. The book price of the 12 records would be around £150, £10/£15 each, If you are not happy with the pack you can return it for a full refund. Don't worry about being ripped off, the guys on here would take a very dim view, and since I sell records on here I would be shooting myself in the foot.

I saw him too, but not back in the day, Venue Victoria 1982, he was brilliant, but the beer was four times the price it was up north.
